Overview
China has achieved remarkable success in addressing health inequity and poverty in recent decades. Its increasing global engagement and capacity for innovation have also bolstered its potential to spur development efforts worldwide. We aim to support China to unlock that potential in a way that benefits both China and the rest of the world.
We support China in addressing major domestic challenges such as preventing infectious diseases (including HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis), strengthening the National Immunization Program, enhancing primary health care, improving child nutrition, and building the philanthropic sector.
We also facilitate the sharing and adaptation of Chinese expertise and technologies in the areas of agricultural development and infectious disease control in low-income countries. This includes the development, production, and distribution of high-quality, low-cost vaccines and other health products and sanitation solutions that have the potential to benefit those in need around the world.
